What is Boca Buddies Homeschool Science Club?

Join Boca Buddies Homeschool Science Club for fun, friendship, and hands-on science. Students who want to take it further may also join our Elementary Science Olympiad Team (Add'l fee) for Grades 3–5 at FAU in April.  This helps build community for our event day.

Following each club meeting, families are welcome to stay at the park for optional free play and social time. Parent supervision is required after the conclusion of Science Club.  We love parent volunteers during class too.

We will provide most materials.  Occasionally, we will invite you to bring small items from home.  (Soda bottle, etc. if you want to build your own Water Rockets)

Science Club is designed to foster curiosity, friendship, teamwork, and a love of learning while building a strong community of young scientists.

Boca Buddies Team Info
Teammates are encouraged to attend our Science Park Days, however, they are not required to. Once events are assigned, partners will get together in person, or online to collaborate and prepare.  Flexibility is important, as occasionally events are scheduled at the same time, requiring team work to figure it out. Families typically spend anywhere from $5 to $20 on events or more if their budget allows. (Creating a binder with information to building a catapult with PVC pipe, etc.)  We have done this many times, and can help you decipher rules, think outside the box, encourage, and motivate you. It's an amazing day when we all get together.  Enjoy the ride!

Tiffany, Homeschool Mom

This was such fun and eye opening experience.
So proud of our homeschoolers…the fact that they placed so high in almost every event goes to show we, as parents are doing a great job!

Sometimes I worry that I’m not doing enough or my kids aren’t where they “need to be.” To see him not only compete but win against traditional schools is a huge confidence booster.
