Field Trips & Enrichment

Our program goes beyond the classroom with meaningful, real-world experiences that bring learning to life. From our award-winning Surf Skate Science sessions and monthly Friday Enrichment events to regular field trips throughout the community, students have opportunities to explore, connect, and grow through hands-on activities, adventure, and shared experiences.

Surf Skate Science

Our students have the opportunity to participate in the award-winning Surf Skate Science program, combining 45 minutes of hands-on science learning with 45 minutes of guided surf instruction led by certified instructors and lifeguards. Sessions run 1.5 hours, and spots are limited—our group of 12 fills quickly. Any Tapestry student may sign up; Monday/Wednesday students can opt in and join us or other families can meet at the beach. This is an optional add-on and not included in tuition.

Friday Enrichment Days

Our Friday Enrichment Classes bring the full Tapestry community together once a month for fun, hands-on experiences like park day celebrations, maker projects, Friendsgiving, holiday parties, fishing, Pi Day, and more. Students enrolled in our Friday program are automatically included, while those in our 2- and 4-day programs are invited to join. These optional events are a great way to build friendships and be part of the Tapestry community. Non-enrolled families are also welcome to sign up for individual sessions through our Sawyer website.

Field Trips

Our field trips are an important part of the Tapestry experience, giving students regular opportunities to explore and learn beyond the classroom. Local field trips are included in tuition, and we love getting out into the community—whether it’s bowling, the Everglades, Miami Zoo, canoeing, or more. For larger trips, students often take the lead by earning funds through entrepreneurial projects like T-shirt sales or small businesses they create themselves.
